Department of Education and Skills Inspectorate

The Inspectorate is the division of the Department of Education and Skills responsible for the evaluation of primary and post-primary schools and centres for education. Inspectors also provide advice on a range of educational issues to school communities, policy makers in the Department and to the wider educational system.

Home Education Network

HEN Ireland is a support group for those who are home educating some or all of their children or who are considering the option.

Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board (ETB)

The ETB provides a wide range of educational services across counties Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim, including post-primary education, further education, training services, youth work, adult education, music education and outdoor education.

National Childminding Association of Ireland

National organisation promoting and supporting quality family home-based childcare and assisting parents in finding it.

National Parents Council Post-Primary

The NPCpp is the voice and advocate for parents and guardians of young people in post-primary education. It serves and represents parents and guardians, principally through engagement with Parents Associations. In consultation with its Constituent Bodies, the NPCpp, offers coordinated training, interaction, information and engagement with parents and guardians.

National Parents Council Primary

National Parents Council Primary (NPC) was set up in 1985, under the programme for Government, as the representative organisation for parents of children attending primary school, and received statutory recognition in the Education Act 1998. The members of NPC are the affiliated parent associations. Individual parents or groups may become associate members.

Student Council Support

The purpose of this website is to provide resources for all School Student Councils. It was jointly funded by the Department of Education and Skills and the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.

  • Be a state supported or not for profit service or agency
  • Be non-political and non-commercial
