Eolas is a growing component of Mental Health Service Delivery HSE throughout Ireland. It is an 8 week programme for Service Users aged 18 years and over with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder and their families/close friends. It is co-facilitated by Service Users & Family Members with Local Mental Health Professionals. People with self experience, family members and clinicians work together to provide information and promote recovery. Eolas consists of 2 parallel 8 week programmes, one group for Service Users and one for Family Members/Close friends. These programmes are now available to attend in the Sligo/Leitrim/West Cavan and South Donegal areas. A referral can be made through a member of your local Mental Health Team or by contacting the Local Coordinator.
