Speech & Language Therapy SLT provides a service to all clients referred with a speech, language, communication and /or swallowing problem.
Speech & Language Therapy SLT provides a service to all clients referred with a speech, language, communication and /or swallowing problem. We work across Primary Care, Disability, CAMHS and adult services. The SLT works as a member of a team in assessing, diagnosing and managing the client's presenting problem. The model of service offered includes one to one therapy, Group therapy, Parent training, Teacher training as/when appropriate. SLTs also assess and diagnose feeding/swallowing problems.

We have SLT clinics in all of the above areas

We carry out some home visits in our Early Intervention Service

Eligibility criteria does not apply to our service
- Parents / guardians can refer
- Through GP
- Through schools
- Through Tusla Child and Family Social Workers
- Through HSE services
- Through other community / voluntary service
All children can access the service with the consent of the parent/guardian
- Under-16s need parental permission
- Early years (0-4 years)
- Primary school age (4-12 years approx.)
- Post-primary school age (13-18 years approx.)
- Young adults (18-24 years)
- Adults (25-64 years)
- Adults (65+ years)
