Sligo Social Services Childcare Services, Open Access Service, and Counselling Service are based in Sligo Town, while the ABC Child & Family Support Service currently covers Sligo & Leitrim according to availability of staff. Sligo Social Services also hosts the Meitheal Project

Project is outreach service which caters for young people in their own communities.

- People can self-refer / access the service directly (without the need for a referral)

Referrals to the ABC Child & Family Service, and to the Childcare Services are by completion of a formal referral/registration form. Referrals to the Counselling Service is by appointment (please contact Sligo Social Services and ask to speak to the Counsellor or the Services Manager). There is a separate initiation process in respect of a Meitheal Referral
